Heritage Volunteers
The Heritage Volunteers are currently work at Pickford House, they are sorting through boxes of items to check that each has a catalogue number and label, and that this is compatible with computer records.
"It is a bit of a Lucky Dip! You do not know what you will find. At the moment we are working on children's items, mainly gloves, socks and mittens; but previous boxes have contained some beautiful ladies' gloves, wonderful needlework samplers, handmade dresses and other fashion items, including feathers. Have you ever tried to sew a label on to a feather?! "
